Radiocompetição em telegrafia, promovida pelo Clube de Radioamadores da Alemanha (DARC), onde o mundo contata a Europa, e os diferentes países europeus servem como multiplicadores (CT, I, PA...). Máximo de 36 horas dentro das 48 horas habituais.

Contest organizated by DARC Deutschland Amateur Radio Club, where world talks with Europe, and different european countries will be multipliers. Maximum of 36 hours.

A história dos QTC’s / Story

Participants can send “Messages/QTC” to European stations, consisting (for example) of the last ten contacts. If the counterpart copies everything, that's ten points more.

Neste ano, DJ5MW e EF1A foram os melhores “copiadores” de PY2NY.

Boy, I am tired

Depois do IARU HF Championship 2021, atividade de competição radioamadorística, usei uma foto de um soldado alemão (sem qualquer identificação) dormindo em cima da motocicleta e isso causou mal estar entre alguns amigos. Para distinguir soldados da Wehrmacht dos fanáticos do NSDAP, SS e etc, fui obrigado a elaborar o texto abaixo, e julguei interessante trazer os fatos para cá.

After IARU HF Championship 2021, amateur radio competition, I used a photo of a German soldier (without any identification) sleeping on a motorcycle, causing discomfort among some friends. In order to distinguish Wehrmacht soldiers from NSDAP, SS, & other fanatics, I was enforced by miself to prepare the text below, and I thought it was interesting to bring the facts here.

Gosto da História Moderna, com interesse peculiar pela Segunda Guerra.

Desde 2004 visitei a Normandia quatro vezes para celebrações do dia D (60, 65, 70 e 75 anos). 

Em 2009 e 2014, durante jantares comemorativos, sentei-me à mesa ao lado de veteranos americanos e alemães que se enfrentaram durante a Segunda Guerra, em Ste. Mére Eglise. Eles se abraçaram, comeram e beberam juntos, dividindo suas histórias comigo. Foram soldados obrigados ao horror da guerra e aprendi com eles, por exemplo, a diferença entre ser alemão e ser nazista.

A fotografia utilizada representa alguém que está cansado. Não há sinais políticos. Apenas um soldado, extenuado, exausto, dormindo sobre sua moto. Em nenhum momento indiquei a nacionalidade ou opção política do motociclista. Pode ser húngaro, polonês, austríaco, ou até mesmo brasileiro.

Peço perdão pela escolha, e providenciarei a exclusão da fotografia, percebendo que ainda tenho muito a aprender com veteranos de todas as nações - lastimo apenas pelo fato de não haver mais tempo para isso, e por não compreendermos as lições daqueles (de qualquer lado) que me abraçaram nos eventos das praias normandas.

I like Modern History, with a peculiar interest in World War II.

From 2004 I’ve visited Normandy four times about D-day celebrations (60, 65, 70 and 75 years).

In 2009 and 2014, during commemorative dinners, I sat at the table next to American and German veterans who faced each other during the war, in Ste. Mére Eglise. They hugged, ate and drank together, sharing their stories and wine with me. They were soldiers forced into the horror of war and I learned from them, for example, the difference between being a German and being a ‘Naxist’.

The picture I used represents someone who is tired. There are no political signs or symbols. Just a soldier, exhausted, sleeping on his motorcycle. I never indicate the nationality or political option of the rider. He can be Hungarian, Polish, Austrian, or even Brazilian (yeap…).

I apologize for the choice, and will arrange to delete the picture, realizing that I still have a lot to learn from veterans of all nations - I am only sorry that there is no more time for this, and that we don’t understand the lessons of those (from any side) who embraced me at the events around Normandy beaches.

A União Internacional de Radioamadores (IARU) tem sido a representação mundial dos radioamadores, protegendo e salvaguardando o espectro destinado aos praticantes desde 1925.

The International Amateur Radio Union has been the worldwide voice of radio amateurs, securing and safeguarding the amateur radio spectrum since 1925.

HF Championship?

O IARU HF Championship é a competição promovida pela IARU, com duração de 24 horas, incentivando os radioamadores de todo o mundo aos contatos recíprocos e destes com as estações da Ligas nacionais representativas.

It’s the HamRadio competition promoted by IARU, lasting 24 hours, encouraging radio amateurs from all over the world to contact each other and between them and the stations of the representative national leagues.

PSKReporter

Foi minha primeira oportunidade de monitorar a propagação usando os contatos de FT4 e FT8 alternando PSKReporter e DXMaps, acionando apenas os modos digitais para não configurar “assistência de cluster”.

As informações prestadas nas palestras de CT1BOH em inglês e português foram úteis e o acompanhamento da propagação é quase instantâneo.

It was my first opportunity to check propagation using FT4 and FT8 contacts switching PSKReporter and DXMaps, triggering only digital modes to avoid “cluster assistance” class (assisted).

The information provided from CT1BOH lectures in English and Portuguese was useful and monitoring the propagation is almost instantaneous.

Operation

Fixei meta humilde e fui surpreendido, talvez por acompanhar melhor as variações da propagação. De 2018 a 2020, foram os seguintes resultados:

I set a humble goal and was surprised, perhaps being better following the propagation conditions. From 2018 to 2020, I had the following results:

(2018) - 236,964, 532 QSOs, 98 Mults

(2019) - 239,580, 479, 121

(2020) - 324,625, 626, 125

Para 2021, pensei em 550 contatos. Mas nas primeiras três horas consegui apenas 125 contatos.

For 2021, I thought aboutof 550 contacts. But in the first three hours I got only 125 contacts:

Contest organizated by CQ Magazine, everybody can talk with everybody, and different prefixes will be multipliers.

O “Virtual Contest Bar” funcionou com visitantes de sempre e de primeira viagem (PY5EG, PY1MK & PU3RIK), duas horas antes do início.

Contest Bar done with regular visitors, and even new ones, two hours before the contest.
