Why funny?
Well, we will be together again after 5 years, to use PY2AA at my home. At 2001, we had luck with 3400 QSOs... Now, my friends will be here after using no radio last 3 or 4 years !! And yes, we will do Multi/Single in a very simple station, single tower and two computers.
N1MM will be our software, and only running station will have the amplifier. PT2AW and PY2DEZ are using K5ZD mp3 files to be back alive again and they are doing their best to meet world requests...
PY2APQ will complete our "4 x 4" team...We know that will be impossible at this time of Solar

Campos do Jordao - Final !!
O dia hoje realmente surpreendeu sob todos os aspectos. O turismo envolveu pessoas, ao contrário do que acontece usualmente com lugares. Vamos colocar, aos poucos, o que tivemos neste dia 05.9.2006.
Levantamos cedo, temperaturas na casa de três graus Celsius. Tomamos o café da manhã, apanhamos o carro (estamos viajando com o Classe A Branco), passamos pelo centro para tentar trocar algumas peças compradas no dia de ontem (meias de lã e um casaquinho), e finalmente, rumamos para a Cervejaria Baden Baden. Falamos da fábrica de cerveja e não do restaurante, é claro...
Pois bem, chegamos à recepção da Fábrica Baden Baden por volta de 10h00min, mas tivemos que esperar por uns quarenta minutos, por conta de atrasos de um grupo de turistas. Esta espera, todavia, nos trouxe um dividendo inesquecível. Vamos aos fatos: estávamos adequadamente vestidos para suportar o frio (a temperatura não superou 14 graus Celsius durante todo o dia), e eu tinha meu chapéu austríaco de feltro e ornamentado, adquirido dois anos atrás quando de nossa viagem a Viena. Este chapéu atraiu a curiosidade do senhor Carlos Hauser, manager da Cervejaria Baden Baden, e enquanto aguardávamos o início do passeio pela empresa, gastamos algum tempo conversando.
Este senhor foi extremamente gentil, aberto, franco, e fez comentários a respeito de projetos futuros da Cervejaria. Confessou, inclusive, ser oriundo da região de Ribeirão Preto, e mais, a intenção de instalar nessa cidade uma “boutique” da cerveja, introduzindo na região da Califórnia brasileira a seleta diversidade de produtos especializados dessa casa cervejeira. Por uma grande coincidência, mencionou contatos preliminares com a família Palazzo, cervejeiros de Jaboticabal. Ao final da visita, ainda teve tempo de nos receber em seu escritório, apresentando mais alguns detalhes e fatos interessantes sobre as cervejas artesanais. Comprometeu-se a nos convidar para a inauguração da casa em Ribeirão Preto, reafirmando a vontade de que tal se dê, ao menos, antes do final deste ano.
Ficamos encantados com a polidez desde jovem senhor, que declarou abertamente seus planos e falou tão orgulhosamente de seus produtos. Indicou alguns sites (acho que um deles mencionava “ohhh my head”) que mostravam as cervejas Baden Baden muito bem posicionadas em ranking mundial de cervejas artesanais. Fiquei tão empolgado que me comprometi a conversar com o Palazzo, que conheço vagamente para, quem sabe, em futuro não muito distante, unir talentos e esforços para a produção de novas cervejas artesanais de alcance local, microrregional. Preciso mencionar, ainda, que o senhor Carlos indicou as pizzas do Centro Hípico Tarundu, e as trutas do “Pesca na Montanha” e espero ter tempo de cumprir com tais orientações antes de abandonar Campos do Jordão.
Saímos da Cervejaria Baden Baden por volta de 11h30min., rumamos ao centro, estacionamos e efetuamos a troca do vestuário, ou seja, as meias da Inverness e uma malha da Genéve. Depois, estacionamos o carro no hotel e descarregamos as compras: 24 garrafas de 600ml das cervejas artesanais mencionadas e mais alguns produtos.
Quando o relógio apontou 13h30min, voltamos à rua, sem o carro. Passamos rapidamente pelo centro, tomamos um chocolate quente no “Chocolates Araucária” e seguimos para a estação ferroviária. Nosso passeio de trem estava marcado para as 14h00min e a partida foi pontual, alcançando Santo Antonio do Pinhal após uma hora de viagem, e passando por maravilhosas paisagens. No caminho de ida, fomos surpreendidos pela visita de alguns jovens que venderam pinhões já cozidos e descascados, e estavam ótimos. Passamos meia hora na estação final, na cidadela mencionada, e depois retornamos, desembarcando no ponto inicial ao redor de 16h30min.. Foi um passeio maravilhoso, sempre com muito sol e também muito frio.
Depois de tudo isto, restou-me acompanhar Ana em mais algumas compras... E não deu outra!! Ela conseguiu, afinal, uma bota em bom couro forrada com pele de carneiro, além de outro sobretudo, preto, e em lã. Para mim, uma luva de pelica com o mesmo tipo de forro. Fechamos a tarde e retornamos ao hotel, já que durante o dia tivemos tempo de passar pelo Restaurante Ludwig (uma estrela no guia “Quatro Rodas”) e efetuar a reserva para o jantar.
E que jantar!! Local maravilhoso, com uma história muito bacana, e praticamente todo o restaurante apenas para nós. Daniel nos atendeu muito bem. Tivemos um ótimo “couvert” e depois Ana optou por costeletas de javali e eu fiquei com tournedos ao risoto de funghi. Na sobremesa, creme brullé e um sorvete de creme com bolo de chocolate e crepe. Vinho do Porto Tawny Dom José para ambos... O vinho tinto que consumimos durante o jantar foi sugestão de Daniel: Chateau Clarke Haut Medóc 2000, e estava maravilhoso.
Ficamos ali, no restaurante, até 23h00min., grande parte do tempo sentados perante a lareira; nesse meio tempo pudemos conhecer o proprietário da casa, e incentivador da arte gastronômica, senhor Fausto. É também editor de uma revista voltada ao mesmo assunto (www.newsletter.com.br). Foi muito gentil conosco. Conhecemos um pouco mais da história do casarão onde está o restaurante, construído nos anos sessenta e entregue numa espécie de comodato ao Restaurante, mediante compromisso de manutenção e continuidade na prestação de serviços de qualidade na área de alimentação e entretenimento. Dividimos nosso tempo, durante o jantar, entre nossa mesa e alguns bancos postados frente à lareira – que delícia!
Chegamos ao hotel, reforçamos a calefação do quarto e vamos ao sono dos justos. Nem percebi o quanto escrevera até agora, e que já são 00h45min da manhã. Assisti a vários trechos do filme “Terra do Nunca”, com Johnny Depp e achei muito bonito. A Aninha apagou logo logo...

Dedicamos este dia ao evento chamado Winter Wine, já apontado em outro ponto deste blog. Por volta de 11h30min, houve a primeira palestra, cujo tema era “Vinho e Saúde”. O conferencista era carismático e absolutamente seguro sobre o que deveria falar. Ficamos ali até o final, e por volta de 13h30min resolvemos conhecer o “Pesca na Montanha”. Pegamos o carro e pela estrada que dá acesso ao Morro do Baú, seguimos 17km !! Mas o sacrifício valeu a pena, pois o local é paradisíaco. Servem pratos até 17h00min, e pedimos uma truta na manteiga, com uma cerveja Cristal Baden Baden. Visite o site www.pescanamontanha.com.br e veja algumas fotos que justificam a viagem. Alimentados, pudemos passear ao redor do lago e depois retornar para Campos do Jordão. Passamos pelo hotel, descansamos um pouco e retornamos ao salão de eventos da Winter Wine, para mais uma palestra, com o presidente da Associação Brasileira de Enólogos. Depois, já começando o anoitecer, a palestra de Aguinaldo Záckia Albert, autor de “Admirável Novo Mundo do Vinho e as Regiões Emergentes”, da Editora Senac. O conferencista é jornalista especializado em vinhos e foi presidente da Sociedade Brasileira de Amigos do Vinho por duas vezes. Mantém um site na Internet: (www.degustadoresemfronteiras.com.br). Adquiri o livro logo após a palestra, com o autógrafo do autor.
Ao final desse último dia, paramos no La Gália, onde comemos uma massa e tomamos um vinho bem barato, para não fazer muita onda. Debaixo de muito frio, retornamos ao hotel, arrumamos as malas, e deitamos. No dia seguinte, feriado nacional, levamos tudo para o carro, tomamos café e colocamos o pé na estrada por volta de 09h00min, encontrando pelo caminho centenas de carros no sentido contrário, subindo a serra em direção a Campos do Jordão... Valeu a pena...

The day today really surprised under all the aspects. The tourism involved people, with the opposite of what it usually happens with places.
We raise early, temperatures around 03 Celsius. We take the breakfast, go the car (we are travelling with our Mercedes A Class White), pass downtown to change some things bought yesterday (half woollen and one coat), and finally, head for the local Brewery Baden Baden. We are speaking about beer plant and not of the restaurant, it is clearly...
Then, we arrive at the Baden Baden reception around 10h00min, but we had to wait per one 40 minutes, on account of delays of a tourist group. This wait, however, gave us na unforgetable meeting. Let’s go to the facts: we were adequately dressed to support the cold weather (the temperature all did not surpass 14 degrees Celsius during the day), and I had my Austrian felt hat, acquired two years behind while our trip to Wien. This hat attracted the curiosity of Mr. Carlos Hauser, manager of Brewery Baden Baden, and while we waited the beginning of the stroll for the company, we spend some time talking.
This Sir was extremely gentile, opened, frank, and made commentaries regarding future projects of the Brewery. It confessed, also, to be looking at Ribeirão Preto, and more, the intention to install one “boutique” of beer there, introducing in the region of Brazilian California the select diversity of specialized products of this beer house. For a great coincidence, it mentioned preliminary contacts with the Palazzo family, brewers of Jaboticabal, where we are living. To the end of the visit, still had time receiving us in its office, presenting some other details and interesting facts on the artisan beers. He was committed to invite us for the inauguration of the house in Ribeirão Preto, maybe before the end of this year.
We were surprised with his polite since young gentleman, who declared its plans openly and spoke so proud of its products. He indicated some sites (I find that one mentioned “ohhh my head”) that they showed the beers Baden Baden world-wide very well located in ranking of artisan beers. I was so involved that committed myself to talk with the Palazzo, and who knows, in future not far away, join talents and efforts for the production of new artisan beers around here. Necessary to mention, still, that Mr. Carlos indicated pizzas of the Center Hípico Tarundu, and the trouts of “Pesca na Montanha” and I wait to have time to fulfill with such orientations before leaving Campos do Jordão city.
We leave the Brewery Baden Baden at 11h30min., head to the downtown, park and we made the exchange of clothes, at Inverness Store and one thresh of the Genéve. Later, we park the car in the hotel and unload the purchases: 24 bottles of 600ml of the mentioned artisan beers and some other products.
At 13h30min, comes back to the street, now without the car. We pass quickly for the center, take a hot chocolate in “Araucária Chocolates” and follow for the railroad station. Our tour of train was scheduled 14h00min and the departure was ready, reaching Santo Antonio dos Pinhais after one hour trip, and passing by wonderful landscapes. In the gone way of, we were surprised by the visit of some young selling cooked and peeled pignoles, and were excellent. We spent one hour in the final station, at that little village, and later we return, disembarking in the initial point around 16h30min.. It was wonderful, sunny but very cold at same time.
After everything, we had time to do some other purchases... Ana found, after all, a boot in good leather lined with lambskin, beyond another black wool overcoat. For me, a pelica’s glove with same type of lining. Closing the afternoon, we did our return to the hotel, since during the day we had time to visit Restaurant Ludwig (one star in the guide “Quatro Rodas”) to do reservation.
What a beautiful and nice place, a very good history, and practically all the restaurant only for us. Daniel tooking care about us very well. We had excellent “couvert” and later Ana opted to wild boar sideburns and I took tournedos with funghi risoto. In the dessert, cream brullé and ice cream with chocolate cake and creppe. OPorto Tawny Dom Jose for both... The red wine consumed during the dinner was Daniel suggestion: Chateau Clarke Haut Medóc 2000, and was wonderful.
We remain there, in the restaurant, till 23h00min., great part of the time seated in front of fireplace; in this time we did know the homeowner, and patron of gastronomics, Mr. Fausto. Fausto is also publisher of a directed and restricted magazine (www.to newsletter.com.br). He was very gentile with us. We know a little more about the history of this large house where it is the restaurant, constructed in the sixties and it delivers in a species of law commodation to the Restaurant, by means of commitment of maintenance and continuity in the rendering of services of quality in the food area and entertainment. We share our time during the dinner, between our table and some chairs in front of the fireplace – that delight!
We arrive at the hotel, strengthen the heating of the bedroom and go sleep. Ana gone down quickly !!

We dedicated this day to Winter Wine event, already marked n another point of this blog. Our first lecture 11h30min, and subject was “Wine and Health”. The lecture was charismatic and absolutely clear on what she would have to speak. We were there until the end, and take direction to know “Pesca na Montanha”. We catch the car and spent long time on the road to access “Monte do Baú”, almost 17km!! But the sacrifice was valid, therefore the place was paradisiacal. They serve plates until 17h00min, and we ask for a trout in butter, with a beer Crystal Baden Baden. You can visit www.pescanamontanha.with.br and see some photos that justify the trip. After that late-lunch, we could take a walk around the lake and later returning to Campos do Jordão City. We back to the hotel, rest a little and return to the hall of events of the Winter Wine, for another lecture, with the president of the Brazilian Association of Enologists. After that, beggining the night, lecture from Aguinaldo Záckia Albert, author of “New World of the Wine”, Senac Publishing company. The lecturer is Expert wine journalist and was president of the Wine Friends Brazilian Society twice. He keeps a site in the Internet: (www.degustadoresemfronteiras.with.br). I acquired the book soon after the lecture, with author’s autograph.
To the end of this last day and night, we stop at “La Gália Restaurant”, eat pasta with cheap wine. Under very cold night, we return to the hotel, arrange the luggage, and lie down. In the following day, national holiday, we take everything to the car, take the breakfast and began our long way home around 09h00min, finding on the way hundreds of cars in the contrary direction, going up the mountain in direction Campos do Jordão city... Everything was nice.

The day today really surprised under all the aspects. The tourism involved people, with the opposite of what it usually happens with places.
We raise early, temperatures around 03 Celsius. We take the breakfast, go the car (we are travelling with our Mercedes A Class White), pass downtown to change some things bought yesterday (half woollen and one coat), and finally, head for the local Brewery Baden Baden. We are speaking about beer plant and not of the restaurant, it is clearly...
Then, we arrive at the Baden Baden reception around 10h00min, but we had to wait per one 40 minutes, on account of delays of a tourist group. This wait, however, gave us na unforgetable meeting. Let’s go to the facts: we were adequately dressed to support the cold weather (the temperature all did not surpass 14 degrees Celsius during the day), and I had my Austrian felt hat, acquired two years behind while our trip to Wien. This hat attracted the curiosity of Mr. Carlos Hauser, manager of Brewery Baden Baden, and while we waited the beginning of the stroll for the company, we spend some time talking.
This Sir was extremely gentile, opened, frank, and made commentaries regarding future projects of the Brewery. It confessed, also, to be looking at Ribeirão Preto, and more, the intention to install one “boutique” of beer there, introducing in the region of Brazilian California the select diversity of specialized products of this beer house. For a great coincidence, it mentioned preliminary contacts with the Palazzo family, brewers of Jaboticabal, where we are living. To the end of the visit, still had time receiving us in its office, presenting some other details and interesting facts on the artisan beers. He was committed to invite us for the inauguration of the house in Ribeirão Preto, maybe before the end of this year.
We were surprised with his polite since young gentleman, who declared its plans openly and spoke so proud of its products. He indicated some sites (I find that one mentioned “ohhh my head”) that they showed the beers Baden Baden world-wide very well located in ranking of artisan beers. I was so involved that committed myself to talk with the Palazzo, and who knows, in future not far away, join talents and efforts for the production of new artisan beers around here. Necessary to mention, still, that Mr. Carlos indicated pizzas of the Center Hípico Tarundu, and the trouts of “Pesca na Montanha” and I wait to have time to fulfill with such orientations before leaving Campos do Jordão city.
We leave the Brewery Baden Baden at 11h30min., head to the downtown, park and we made the exchange of clothes, at Inverness Store and one thresh of the Genéve. Later, we park the car in the hotel and unload the purchases: 24 bottles of 600ml of the mentioned artisan beers and some other products.
At 13h30min, comes back to the street, now without the car. We pass quickly for the center, take a hot chocolate in “Araucária Chocolates” and follow for the railroad station. Our tour of train was scheduled 14h00min and the departure was ready, reaching Santo Antonio dos Pinhais after one hour trip, and passing by wonderful landscapes. In the gone way of, we were surprised by the visit of some young selling cooked and peeled pignoles, and were excellent. We spent one hour in the final station, at that little village, and later we return, disembarking in the initial point around 16h30min.. It was wonderful, sunny but very cold at same time.
After everything, we had time to do some other purchases... Ana found, after all, a boot in good leather lined with lambskin, beyond another black wool overcoat. For me, a pelica’s glove with same type of lining. Closing the afternoon, we did our return to the hotel, since during the day we had time to visit Restaurant Ludwig (one star in the guide “Quatro Rodas”) to do reservation.
What a beautiful and nice place, a very good history, and practically all the restaurant only for us. Daniel tooking care about us very well. We had excellent “couvert” and later Ana opted to wild boar sideburns and I took tournedos with funghi risoto. In the dessert, cream brullé and ice cream with chocolate cake and creppe. OPorto Tawny Dom Jose for both... The red wine consumed during the dinner was Daniel suggestion: Chateau Clarke Haut Medóc 2000, and was wonderful.
We remain there, in the restaurant, till 23h00min., great part of the time seated in front of fireplace; in this time we did know the homeowner, and patron of gastronomics, Mr. Fausto. Fausto is also publisher of a directed and restricted magazine (www.to newsletter.com.br). He was very gentile with us. We know a little more about the history of this large house where it is the restaurant, constructed in the sixties and it delivers in a species of law commodation to the Restaurant, by means of commitment of maintenance and continuity in the rendering of services of quality in the food area and entertainment. We share our time during the dinner, between our table and some chairs in front of the fireplace – that delight!
We arrive at the hotel, strengthen the heating of the bedroom and go sleep. Ana gone down quickly !!

We dedicated this day to Winter Wine event, already marked n another point of this blog. Our first lecture 11h30min, and subject was “Wine and Health”. The lecture was charismatic and absolutely clear on what she would have to speak. We were there until the end, and take direction to know “Pesca na Montanha”. We catch the car and spent long time on the road to access “Monte do Baú”, almost 17km!! But the sacrifice was valid, therefore the place was paradisiacal. They serve plates until 17h00min, and we ask for a trout in butter, with a beer Crystal Baden Baden. You can visit www.pescanamontanha.with.br and see some photos that justify the trip. After that late-lunch, we could take a walk around the lake and later returning to Campos do Jordão City. We back to the hotel, rest a little and return to the hall of events of the Winter Wine, for another lecture, with the president of the Brazilian Association of Enologists. After that, beggining the night, lecture from Aguinaldo Záckia Albert, author of “New World of the Wine”, Senac Publishing company. The lecturer is Expert wine journalist and was president of the Wine Friends Brazilian Society twice. He keeps a site in the Internet: (www.degustadoresemfronteiras.with.br). I acquired the book soon after the lecture, with author’s autograph.
To the end of this last day and night, we stop at “La Gália Restaurant”, eat pasta with cheap wine. Under very cold night, we return to the hotel, arrange the luggage, and lie down. In the following day, national holiday, we take everything to the car, take the breakfast and began our long way home around 09h00min, finding on the way hundreds of cars in the contrary direction, going up the mountain in direction Campos do Jordão city... Everything was nice.
