Grande Dame 1996

Great, fantastic!

Wow, we finally did!! Five years ago (?) we visited Champagne (FRA) and took a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Grande Dame 1996. Yesterday, Ana PU2VYT and me, completed 26 years together. Well, we gone to Ribeirao Preto and had a fantastic dinner with Joao Roberto (ex La Pyramide) and Guilherme at Theotonio Restaurante.

But, today, while Ana was preparing something to eat, we decided to open this majestic bottle. And what a surprise!! A bomb!! We kept the bottle on the refrigerator for years, not cellar, and even under these circumstances, it is amazing wine... If you have any chance, try to find this one, and please, let me know... You can see what Wine Spectator tell us about this wine some lines ahead.

We are still waiting our Jeep MB Willys 1942 (S/N 174849)..

Next Wednesday, vacation time. Will go to Rio de Janeiro September 10, for a Military Vehicles Meeting.

Hope to have time to be on Work All Europe SSB Contest Saturday night...
